CARALEIGH MILLS CONDOMINIUMS
RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA
Caraleigh Mills has been an integral part of the urban fabric of Raleigh for many decades. The original building of this industrial complex dates back to 1892 and was constructed as a load bearing masonry and heavy timber structure. Distinctive elements of the mill construction include clerestory lighting, segmental arched windows, and decorative wood brackets.
Over the past century the mill was enlarged with eight major additions despite being closed several times. With the mill's final closing, this historic structure was converted into residential condominiums. Its convenient location to downtown Raleigh, the State Fairgrounds, Farmers Market, and North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus make it a premier location to live.
