BRINKHOUS-BULLITT FOOD SERVICES RENOVATION
CHAPEL HILL, NORTH CAROLINA
Food Services addition at UNC Chapel Hill's Brinkhous-Bullitt was an extension of Integrated Design's renovation to the Berryhill Hall medical science and laboratory building. The student cafeteria that had been part of the first floor of Berryhill Hall for nearly thirty years was relocated next door to the Brinkhous-Bullitt building.
Integrated Design enclosed an open-air ground floor for the new student cafeteria, creating a new entrance to the building's lobby. The sun-lit space provides ample seating area adjacent to a cafe-style food service area that features several national chain brands as well as areas managed by university dining.
The project occurred simultaneous to several other construction and design projects in the building. ID worked closely with the architects and engineers of other projects throughout the bidding and construction processes.
