DAIL SOFTBALL STADIUM
RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA
The Curtis & Jacqueline Dail Softball Stadium, located just south of the historic Reynolds Coliseum, was part of the Paul Derr Track renovation project. Integrated Design renovated the facility into a multi-sport venue to include soccer, softball, and track & field.
Women's softball was a new varsity sport for the university in 2004 and the Dail Stadium is the first on-campus home for the team. A field adjacent to the Paul Derr Track was selected to feature an entrance at the corner of Cates Avenue and Morrill Drive. The Dail Softball Stadium includes a 500 seat concrete grandstand with a press box, ticket office, concessions, restrooms, and service areas. The softball field is a Cambridge-style design (sand-slit) with a 215 foot center field and 200 foot right and left fields.
On February 27, 2008, the Lady Wolfpack inaugurated their new field with a win over UNC Greensboro..
